Cyber S.W.A.T. — Safety While Accessing Technology — is the revolutionary breakthrough in empowering young people to embrace the principles of cyber safety and responsibility. Using the landmark peer-to-peer model, Cyber SWAT is the solution to effectively heighten awareness and help young people avoid becoming the next victim... or perpetrator.
Developed by Safe Surfin’ Foundation staffers, first deployed in a high school in central Virginia, facilitated and moderated by a School Resource Officer, and field-tested for three years, Cyber SWAT is a paradigm shift in reaching youth powerfully, dynamically, with life-changing and life-saving results. In 2018 the Safe Surfin’ Foundation joined forces with the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) to further develop, build out, and roll out the program nationwide and around the globe.
Cyber SWAT works. Team members enthusiastically embrace the camaraderie — being cyber smart is suddenly cool. Very cool.
